Introduction to Pastels
Learn about Pastels with Laura Pommier at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). This is the class which surprises most people, in how much they love it! If you like a direct approach, lots of color, and fun subjects, this is the class for you. We alternate from photo references to studies from life. Therefore, this is a class where you will learn and progress in several art areas.
Supplies:
- Quality soft pastels
- Pastel Paper (I use Canson Mi-Teintes 9x12, toned paper)
- Kneaded Eraser
- medium, old
- stiff paint brush to make corrections
- wet wipes

In Support of The Visual Arts Center
The Visual Arts Center serves Charlotte County, and beyond, with three major galleries, 6 classrooms, jewelry, glass, pottery & fiber studios, Gift Shop, Art Supply Store, and VAC logo items. Our 12,000 square foot facility provides the best art classes, instructors and exhibit opportunities for the community. Our courses are designed for all ages and skill levels, and we offer classes and workshops in a variety of arts media throughout the year.
