● Mix and apply values to create the illusion of light and form.
● Transfer images to a canvas and painting directly.
● Color theory and how to create harmonious works.
● Acrylic fluid and gel mediums.
● Underpaint to establish the tonal range.
● Create and apply translucent glazes of color+Supplies:Heavy Body or Fluid Acrylic Paints (8)- Quinacridone Magenta
- Naphthol or Pyrrole Red (Light or Medium)
- Hansa or Cadmium Yellow Light & Medium
- Ultramarine Blue
- Phthalo Blue (Green shade)
- Carbon Black
- Titanium White
- Wood panels, stretched canvas, canvas panels, or paper
- Inexpensive surfaces for experiments: gesso both sides of heavy weight cardboard
- Mediums
- A slow drying medium (Acrylic Glazing Medium or OPEN Medium)
- Soft or Regular Gel Gloss
Tools- Paper towels
- Water container
- Spray bottle
- Brushes
- Bar of soap (Ivory)
- Painting knife with stepped handle
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Disposable paper palettes for acrylics, disposable coated plastic plates, freeze paper or other release surface such as glass, or Plexi called High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
