    Study Embroidery with Barbara Zappulla at the Visual Arts Center (VAC) This class will study some Zentangle designs based on “One Zentangle A Day” by Beckah Krahula and then using only black, white and gray embroidery threads students will learn how to
    add creative stitches to the Zentangle designs.

    Supplies
    • 8x10 journal book, multimedia paper, no lines 
    • Muslin fabric about 1/4 yard (Joanne Fabrics 36"w SE Bleached (white) 
    • Embroidery hoop, oval or round, either 5"x9", 8" diameter or 10" diameter (no larger) 
    • Embroidery needle(s) LARGE EYE with sharp point (not the blunt point) Minimum of 1.5" in length (2" or 2.5" are okay) 
    • Black Sharpie markers - an Ultra Fine point and a Fine point 
    • Small scissors 
    • Fabric glue 
    • 3 plastic sandwich bags 
    • 1, 2B or 3

Our 12,000 square foot facility provides the best art classes, instructors and exhibit opportunities for the community. Our courses are designed for all ages and skill levels, and we offer classes and workshops in a variety of arts media throughout the year.
