Pottery Handbuild: Big & Tall - Beginner: THURSDAYS
Develop your Pottery skills at the Visual Arts Center (VAC) with Ricardo Hicks. After mastering the basics of centering, pulling and shaping, explore the art of throwing larger out of round pots and other projects of the potter's choice. Advanced glaze techniques are included.Supplies:
- Pottery Tool Kit: You will need sponges and pottery tools which can be purchased at the VAC Art & Supply Store.
- Clay, Glazes & Kiln Firing Time: Classes include approximately $60 of clay, glazing (using VAC standard glazes) and firing. Clay, tools, and projects cannot be stored in the Pottery Studio.
- Only clay purchased at the VAC may be fired in the VAC Kilns. Additional Clay may be purchased for $30 per 25 lbs.

The Visual Arts Center serves Charlotte County, and beyond, with three major galleries, 6 classrooms, jewelry, glass, pottery & fiber studios, Gift Shop, Art Supply Store, and VAC logo items. Our 12,000 square foot facility provides the best art classes, instructors and exhibit opportunities for the community. Our courses are designed for all ages and skill levels, and we offer classes and workshops in a variety of arts media throughout the year.
