    Learn Jewelry Enameling with Instructor Susan Priess at the Visual Arts Center (VAC) Learn the basics of enameling jewelry, including using enameling tools, kiln safety, working with powdered glass, and embellishing your enamel work with glass frit, millefiori, and reflective beads.

    You will apply vitreous enamel to metal using a sifter and a brush, learn the sgrafitto technique, explore cloisonné and champlevé. See powdered glass bring metal alive with glowing colors after firing with precision and evolve into glorious original jewelry designed by you!

    Basic Tool Kit: For sale at first class - $35 - you own it, or for rent at first class for 4-week session - $15.  

    $12 Material Fee paid to instructor per 4-week session.

    •  Flanged firing rack 4”x4” - 1
    • Three-point enameling trivets – 1 medium & 1 small
    • Enamel Sifters 40 mesh screen siz

The Visual Arts Center serves Charlotte County, and beyond, with three major galleries, 6 classrooms, jewelry, glass, pottery & fiber studios, Gift Shop, Art Supply Store, and VAC logo items. Our 12,000 square foot facility provides the best art classes, instructors and exhibit opportunities for the community. Our courses are designed for all ages and skill levels, and we offer classes and workshops in a variety of arts media throughout the year.
